Richmond Spine Interventions and Pain Center was founded in 2001 and has been faithfully serving patients in the Greater Richmond Area over the past two decades. Our practice specializes in guided spinal injections and other treatments for a variety of painful conditions. In many cases, we can offer patients a non-opioid solution to treat their pain.
Peyman Nazmi, MD
Dr. Peyman Nazmi is Board Certified in Pain Management and Anesthesiology. He completed his residency and fellowship training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center of New York in 1997. He is a graduate of the Medical University of Pecs in Hungary. He is a member of the Spine Intervention Society and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Marc Caligtan, MD
Dr. Marc Caligtan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He went on to gain both his Masters of Science in Physiology and Medical Degree at VCU Medical Center's Medical College of Virginia. He completed his Internship at Johns Hopkins University in the Sinai Department of Internal Medicine and his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Caligtan enjoys spending time with his children and wife. His hobbies include traveling, cooking, and playing basketball. He is also an avid fan of UVA athletics and NFL football.
Nicolas Maxymiv, DO
Dr. Nicolas Maxymiv completed his residency in anesthesiology and a pain medicine fellowship at VCU Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in anesthesia and pain medicine. He performs both diagnostic and therapeutic treatments using modalities such as injection therapies, radiofrequency ablation, and neuromodulation. He lives in Richmond with his wife and twin
Lisa Hall, PA-C
Lisa Hall is a certified physician assistant. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia where she majored in Biology and Spanish. She went to James Madison University to get her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She has practiced for 10 years in the field of internal medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is originally from Northern Virginia and moved to the Richmond area with her family in 2016.
Kevin Dunivan, DNP
Kevin Dunivan is a licensed Nurse Practitioner. He earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing. He went on to gain both his Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus in Acute Care Adult Gerontology and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Virginia. He has practiced the last 6 years in Neurosurgery and Orthopedics.
In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his three chocolate labs, hitting the gym and being outside.
